They showcase their collections with all their talent,
creative and artistic ability glowing through each garment. Each collection is
just something that is so hard to put into words. They’re all so individual and
spectacular.
Even those who aren’t necessarily into fashion would be
amazed! Honest!
The elegance and grace of the models gliding down the
catwalk is a far shout to what will be happening behind the scenes, as we all
know. Well, the elegance of the models kinda flies straight out the window when
they fall on their bottoms. But we shall ignore that… for now anyway.

All collections from designers and catwalks always filter
down into the high street stores for us all to wear. But the biggie of all
collaborations is Rihanna with River Island. The only word that springs to mind
is; edgy! She showed her attire off with a catwalk described as ‘swag’. Yep. ‘SWAG’.
Anyway, this year also saw fashion designer, Pam Hogg, cause
mega controversy by sending her models down the catwalk practically nuddy! (Or
almost completely nude, but nuddy sort of makes this bit of info a little
lighter. Right?)
LFW is not new to playing host to many controversial issues.
Take for example; designer Mark Fast let the larger ladies steals the show in
2009. And the complete opposite issue of promoting anorexia with the whole size
0 fashion model phenomenon. The huge speculation over Rihanna’s debut
collection with River Island, Flop or not?
See? It’s not new. But by gosh, nobody expected to see women’s
lady lumps strutting past them on the runway! This catwalk ‘collection’ was
very, very explicit. It’s in the title though, London FASHION week. How is a
woman’s skin classified as fashion? Clothes are fashion, surely?
But hey, I’ll leave that one open to you guys.
Covered quite a lot
in a fairly brief post, but that’s what happens when you’re female. We like to
gossip, and throw out (and take in) as much as we can in small spaces of time.
You’ve just gotta let us roll with it. And let the words come out at lightning
speeds.
So anyway, after all of that chatting business. It does
leave us thinking; WHAT DOES THE NEXT LFW HAVE INSTORE?! Oh, god only knows
what’s next! It’ll be a great gossip subject though, we all know that!
There’s always something we can learn during, and after,
LFW. Whether it is what trends are coming, what to wear and how to wear it. Or
now even, what gets the public’s feathers well and truly ruffled!
So basically from the models, to clothes to all the
controversy. London Fashion Week in a one word summary; WOW.
Oh and; P.S. Designers can actually apply to show their
collections on the catwalks for SS’14 now. But I’ll waffle on about that in
